MefLag was developed to work on all operational systems that allow the use of MicroStation (ex. PC-DOS, UNIX, Macintosh, etc). The procedures that compose the preprocessor and the postprocessor were established by programming in C-MDL language a powerful existing CAD, namely MicroStation.

This program is compliant with all MicroStation commands, resulting in a further useful application extension of such environment.

MicroStation Interface:

• It defines the whole system using the exclusive style of CAD MicroStation.
• In a perfect symbiosis it uses both its own commands and those of MicroStation to create and modify the characteristics of the finite element mesh.
• It stands the use of all zoom and areal-view of MicroStation commands, beside its own commands for the customized visualization of views.
• It adds the graphic elements of MicroStation to its own libraries of hydraulic elements, boundary elements, nodal constraints, symbols, etc.

GIS Integration:

• It allows for the management of geographic maps concerning wide portions of territory with extreme facility, flexibility and speed.

• It keeps separate the different levels of territorial information visualizing data in the same development environment of the models.
