Lionello Trischitta
President

Lionello Trischitta is CREA Chairman. He took part in the foundation of the company in 1992 as founder partner, contributing with his deep experience of engineer in several sectors of civil engineering.

Previously, from 1985 to 1991, he was first the Chairman of the Board of Directors and then the Managing Director of Tesyconsult S.p.A., also with tasks of engineer planner; from 1965 to 1985, he worked at the Technital International General Engineering S.p.a. with the qualification of Technical Manager from 1965 to 1979 and of General Manager from 1979 to 1985, having also taken part to the Corporate Board of Directors.

Among the most meaningful works developed by the aforesaid companies in the cited periods, the following are particularly important: preliminary and executive design (Tesyconsult) of the of 120 kms branch Gumusova-Gerede of the highway Transanatolica Ankara-Istanbul in Turkey on behalf of the Astaldi S.p.A. of Rome; planning and direction work (Technital) of the Dammam-Riyadh railroad in Saudi Arabia on behalf of the Saudi Railways Organization; feasibility study (Technital), together with A.R.E. - Austria, of the railway system for 2000 kms of network in the basin of river Kagera (Burundi-Rwanda-Tanzania-Uganda); the preliminary and executive design as well as the direction of works (Technital) of the following highways: Messina-Catania, Messina-Palermo, Syracuse-Gela, Rovigo-Vicenza-Trento; studies and designs (Technital) of the works for the safeguard of the Venice lagoon on behalf of Venezia Nuova Consortium and of the Italian Water Authority ‘Magistrato Alle Acque’.

Some other meaningful projects developed during the whole period when Trischitta was first Technical Manager and then General Manager of Technital are the Ticino-Milan Nord-Mincio waterway and the relative connections to Maggiore, Como and Iseo lakes, the projects for an earth dike in Sommatino on the river Gibbesi (Sicily), for a dike on the river Baardheere Giuba (Somalia) with Technosynesis, for an aqueduct and sewerage for S.R.O. Dammam (Saudi Arabia), the basin plans for the rivers Livenza, Lemene and Tagliamento as well as various other works in manifold sectors of civil engineering.

Andrea Garzon
CEO

Andrea Garzon is the CREA’s Managing Director. He took part in the foundation of CREA company in 1992 as partner founder, contributing with his experience in mathematical models and in the use of new technologies in the field of hydraulic engineering.

In CREA he directed the realization and personally participated in the development of the following mathematical models:

  • PstNet : Graphic Postprocessor for the one-dimensional hydrodynamic models to analyse and manage pressure networks.
  • PreNet : Graphic Preprocessor for the one-dimensional hydrodynamic models to analyse and manage pressure networks.
  • HydroNet : One-dimensional hydrodynamic model to study the steady state motion in pressure networks.
  • WatWork : One-dimensional hydrodynamic model to study the transient phenomena in pressure networks.
  • WatMan : One-dimensional hydrodynamic model for optimum management of pressure networks with innovative methodology.
  • SuperNet : One-dimensional hydrodynamic model for optimum design of pressure networks with innovative methodology under manifold conditions of load.
  • MEFQ : Two-dimensional finite element Water Quality model for the study of ecological-environmental evolution in bays and lagoons.
  • PstM2d : Graphic Postprocessor for the two dimensional hydrodynamic model to analyse and simulate water quality in bays and lagoons.
  • PreM2d : Graphic Preprocessor for the two dimensional hydrodynamic model to analyse and simulate water quality in bays and lagoons.
  • FlowNet : One-dimensional hydrodynamic model to study tidal propagation in surface networks in presence of complex geometries.
  • PreFlow : Graphic Preprocessor for the one-dimensional hydrodynamic model to analyse and manage surface water networks.

Within CREA’s activity the developed models found manifold applications at important Corporations for Water Resources Management. Among others, it are remembered the Ministry of Public Works, Venezia Nuova Consortium, Informative Service of Venezia Nuova Consortium, EEC – European Commission – Joint Research Center in ISPRA, Venetian Region, ENEL-HYDRO, Consortium of Mirese ACM, Chiampo Valley Consortium, Pedemontano Brenta Consortium, etc...

Previously, from April 1987 to December 1991, he worked at IPROS company in Padua, developing personally, as hydraulic-environmental engineer, the followings mathematical models:

  • IdroNet: Analogical model inflows-outflows with kinematics propagation of the flood wave for the study of flooding phenomena in the hydrographic networks and design and assessment of nets of reclamation and sewerage (1991).
  • MEFD : Two-dimensional finite element dispersive model with the modified method of characteristics to study diffusion and convection of conservative substances in bays and lagoons (1991).
  • MEFH : Two-dimensional finite element hydrodynamic model to study tide propagation in bays, lagoons and estuaries even in the case of complex geometries and irregular bathymetries (the same model has been applied by IPROS on behalf of the Venezia Nuova Consortium for Venice lagoon) (1988).
